What is a brow lift?
A brow lift is a combination of two common procedures, it uses threads and anti-wrinkle injections in order to rejuvenate sagging or hooded brows and furrows between the eyes and across the forehead.
Are brow lifts safe?
The procedure itself is minimally invasive. As the threads used in the procedure are manufactured using the same material that is used in sutures, they are a very safe, bio-degradable alternative to invasive open brow-lift surgery.
What is a Brow lifting?
Brow lifting is a non-surgical method of achieving reduced wrinkles around the brow area, through lifting hooded or sagging skin above the eyes using anti-wrinkle injections and very fine threads of polydioxanone, which have small barbs all along their length, in the subcutaneous layer of the skin. When pulled, the threads plump the skin and produce a smoother look. Polydioxanone is a bio-degradable substance used in sutures, so the effect will only be temporary.
How does a Brow -lifting work?
The threads are placed under the skin using thin needles. Once in place, the threads are pulled and the skin is tightened and plumped, by barbs, which embed themselves into the subcutaneous layer of your skin. The threads initiate an inflammatory response, which promotes collagen manufacture in the treated areas. This process also improves blood flow to the skin. The result is younger, fresher, brighter appearance in the brow area. Anti-wrinkle injections are also administered to block the nerve impulse to the muscles around the brow area of your face that, over time, cause wrinkles.
