Many people are unhappy with the shape of their nose – they may feel that it is too small, crooked, lumpy, or asymmetrical. If you are one of these people but don’t want the drastic solution of surgery, an alternative treatment is dermal fillers. These can be used in various ways to help produce an effect that aesthetically balances the nose with the rest of the facial features. The injections are used to augment the height and definition of the bridge of the nose and other areas, creating a shape that blends in more easily with the rest of your facial features.
WHAT TO EXPECT
About 15-20 minutes before the treatment takes place, a prescription anaesthetic cream is applied to the injection sites. The filler is then injected at precise locations before the skin is massaged to smooth the material. The whole treatment takes around 30 minutes. Results can be seen immediately, and you will be given a mirror to see the difference as soon as the filler is injected.
Dermal fillers are suitable for most people, apart from those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty involves the use of dermal fillers to alter the shape of the nose. This is a non-invasive, non-permanent treatment. It can be used to make a bumpy nose look straighter; a nose with a droopy tip seem more pert; a narrow nose look fuller; and can help to balance a crooked nose. This is a highly effective non-surgical treatment for noses that gives immediate and highly visible results.
WHAT IS NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY?
Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty involves the use of dermal fillers to alter the shape of the nose. This is a non-invasive, non-permanent treatment. It can be used to make a bumpy nose look straighter; a nose with a droopy tip seem more pert; a narrow nose look fuller; and can help to balance a crooked nose.
IS NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY SAFE?
As dermal fillers are made up of molecular structures of Hyaluronic Acid, a substance already taking place in the body, there is a significantly decreased risk of an adverse reaction, and so are very safe treatments.
HOW DOES NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY WORK?
Dermal fillers are used to add volume to the injection sites. This procedure can lift the tip of a drooping nose, help make a bumpy nose look straighter, and balance out the shape of your nose
Depending on the areas treated, the metabolism rate of the patient and the appearance you wish to maintain, non-surgical rhinoplasty can last from 12-18 months. The Hyaluronic Acid is broken down by the body so repeat treatments will be necessary if you wish to maintain a specific look.
If you suffer from cold sores, make sure that you have an oral prescription prior to your treatment as it may provoke an outbreak.
Common injection related effects may include:
These symptoms should resolve in 2-7 days.
Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen or Advil for two days after treatment; also, avoid them for one week prior to treatment
Do not use ice on swollen areas after treatment
Avoid exercise, except for walking, for 24 hours after treatment
